Who are we

We are creative, innovative change agents and particle accelerators for the digital transformation of business and society. We accompany family businesses, large enterprises and start-ups in Germany and Europe as well as the public sector into the digital age. In doing so, we combine the perspectives and approaches that change culture with those that change technology. Our talent lies in seeing the concrete connections, dependencies and patterns between people, organisation, processes and technology, solving the resulting problems and at the same time pursuing a positive vision of the future of the digital age.

Michael and Carsten are lecturers for the MBA Digital Transformation Management at Goethe Business School and authors. Their book “d.quarks – The Path to Digital Business” was named Management Book of the Year 2016 and received the getAbstract International Book Award 2017.

Dr. Carsten Hentrich

Carsten is a technologist at heart and a creator of visions of the future in which the power of modern technology is a central factor. His passion for what is technologically feasible and economically sensible makes him a reliable sparring partner for entrepreneurs and leaders. As PhD in Business Information Management and Software Engineer with degrees in London and Oxford, he specialises in the design and implementation of platform architectures and agile IT as operating systems for digital business models. He knows how to bring the chaos of IoT, Big Data, Blockchain, Cloud, Mobile and AI into a clear, consistent and sustainable picture.

Manuel Heß

Manuel’s strength lies in the fast support of companies in the digital world. This includes the initial creation of a digital target picture as well as the establishment of an incubator or the introduction of agile working methods. For him it is crucial to help companies to change in a sustainable way. As a graduate computer scientist, the sustainability of IT is particularly close to his heart. He helps IT organizations to completely realign themselves, to live up to their claim as business enabler and innovator or to design sustainable IT architectures. He creates the structures and builds competences to successfully implement technology-based or data-driven business models.

Michael Pachmajer

Michael is a change manager, technology savvy, designer of visions of the future, communicator, team player, author and speaker (e.g. TEDx, European Forum Alpbach, Zukunftsinstitut). For him, the human being is at the center of the transformation work. He is a sought-after sparring partner for entrepreneurs and leaders. His goal is to get out of one’s own comfort zone and to finally discard old traditional patterns of behaviour. As a studied geographer, he has always worked in interdisciplinary teams, is familiar to the application of different specialist logics and stands for changes of perspective and border crossings between business, politics and science. He goes new ways to act differently.
